The Lesson of Human History

Throughout this age humankind has been moving in and seeing the world through the lens of dualistic Adamic consciousness. And this state of consciousness has brought much suffering to the human ranks. It has given rise to sin and ushered in what the Bible calls the plagues of Egypt—the most prominent of which are disease, war, lack (poverty), and death. These outgrowths of Adamic consciousness have made our lives very difficult and challenging. And yet we must at the same time acknowledge the wonders of spiritual consciousness and recognize that mankind has not been cursed but rather we have been blessed. Though human Adamic life is difficult, it is still greatly exalted in comparison to all other life forms. Why is this? It is because having consciousness has made us like God. This is a gift that we have yet to fully fathom or appreciate. But one day all that will change.
Because the Adamic state of consciousness has shown itself to be consistently challenging many of our greatest thinkers have seen it as more of a curse than a blessing. Unable to delineate between the Adamic state and any other potential state, these have blamed the human endowment of consciousness itself for our troubles. This viewpoint can even be found in our religious communities. That is why the parable of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden is dominantly interpreted as a fall from grace. In other words, it is commonly believed that Adam and Eve were better off prior to eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil—that they were more blessed in their innocence and unconsciousness, and that once they awoke to their endowment of consciousness (awoke into the Adamic state of dualistic knowledge) everything got ugly for our species.
In truth, however, when we humans awoke to our created endowment of spiritual consciousness, it was an event of unparalleled glory and goodness. The problems we have had these past six thousand years are not the product of spiritual consciousness in general; they are the product of our Adamic state of consciousness—a state of consciousness that was mandated for us by law on account of our endowment’s evolutionary nature. In other words, when we first awoke in consciousness we awoke in a lower state that can be compared to that of a seed. This seed state was in some ways contradictory. For like a seed in the natural world, it contained all the genetic qualities of the fruitful plant, while at the same time presenting us with many challenges and difficult outworkings. What was the purpose of this contradictory quality? It was so that we would not get too comfortable with the Adamic state and instead would give ourselves over to our evolutionary impulses to move on to the next state of consciousness called the Christ—a state in which the glory of our created endowment of consciousness will be readily apparent.
So the Adamic state we awoke into is a lower state replete with many challenges, but it is also an evolutionary state that contains the seed of our ultimate glory as a species. And all we had to do was to allow our evolutionary instincts to hold sway in order to manifest this promise. In other words, there was no law dictating that we must remain in our seed state for an entire age of time (six thousand years). In fact, there was no time requirement whatsoever. Had we remained pure in our evolutionary instincts we could have theoretically evolved into the blessed Christ state in a single day. Unfortunately, that is not what happened. Instead of remaining pure to that instinct we sought to block its outworking. Moreover, we succeeded at doing this.
The lesson of human history is bound up with this one impulse to block our evolutionary instincts from holding sway and delivering us into the more benign state of Christ consciousness. Why did our destiny pan out thusly? It has to do with some of our original ancestors (ancestors from the time shortly after Adam’s transformation) making a choice—the choice to not only abide in Adamic consciousness for an extended period but also to explore its potentialities to the max. And what these ancestors discovered was that Adamic consciousness, while having some limitations and drawbacks, was very conducive to bringing about a world social order in which the strong can accrue great power and wealth by lording over their weaker brothers. The lure of such a scenario was too strong a temptation for them to resist. And so, they set about the dark work of bringing that social order to pass and making sure that it lasted for an indefinite time period. Thus they not only indulged themselves through the oppression of their brothers, they also effectually found ways to extend the Age of Adam and thereby utterly thwart our instinctual impulse toward consciousness evolution.
That is the story of this long age in a nutshell, and it is a story that is still in progress. Throughout this six thousand year period of temptation and oppression there have been individuals who have secretly and privately found out the truth about their endowment of consciousness and then proceeded to unlock its evolutionary potential through implementing this knowledge with godly desire. But human society as a whole has been cruelly dominated by the corrupt status quo initiative to preserve the Adamic social order and thereby keep the truth about consciousness evolution under wraps.
And that is why we are still moving in a seed state of consciousness—one that makes most human lives bitter with suffering and pain and which never needed to last this long. But there is even more bad news to report. Over the course of the age social oppression has actually gotten worse. Through the implementation of programs such as psychological infantile conditioning it has become nearly impossible for those born into this present world order to navigate their way to evolutionary fulfillment. From the moment we are born we are taught that this present order of things is ironclad and forever—that it is the only reality pertaining to the human experience. And this not-so-subtle program of social indoctrination has definitely taken its toll on the condition of the human psyche. We have become downtrodden creatures, consumed with fear and despair. We have lived and moved in Adamic consciousness for so long that we have come to view it as our only potential reality, thereby completely losing sight of our true created potential and becoming boxed in to a world-view that is utterly hopeless and resigned. Most people do not even know that they have such a thing as an endowment of spiritual consciousness housed within their psyche. So how can we hope in the evolution of consciousness if we see ourselves as strictly biological creatures?
But as bleak as this picture looks, there is also good news—very good news! This good news involves our created makeup and the scientific properties that actually govern our fortunes. Undeniably, we have been born into a world that is dark with oppression—an age-old social order that calls itself the only reality. But this has not changed the scientific properties of our created makeup. Though the human powers-that-be continue to deny that we even have such a faculty as spiritual consciousness, that has not had any effect whatsoever upon the truth of how we were created. In other words, the power of the status quo human social order has been the power of lies. That is why they have worked so hard at convincing us that their reality view is the only reality. But as it turns out, the power of truth is far greater than the power of human lies.
Human lies are propagated through deceit and clever persuasion. They are only a power if those who are being lied to believe them. But the power of truth is based on universal law and scientific principles. In other words, the power of a lie is a phantom power, while the power of truth is based on the actual substance of reality. And this substance has not only endured the sands of time; it is, in fact, indestructible. Lies can be vanquished with but a flash of truthful realization, but the truth cannot be vanquished by any human capability.
It is for this reason that we now stand on the threshold of the New Age of the Christ. Though the status quo would have us believe that such a pronouncement is but a pitiful fantasy, we will soon witness the downfall of the age-old status quo initiative and the dawning of the New Age. And the proof of this is the scientific outworking of the human evolution of consciousness.
Our endowment of consciousness has been much maligned by the status quo, but it has not gone anywhere. It is still housed securely within our psyche. Nor has its evolutionary quality been tampered with, despite the insistent efforts of the status quo to do so. Now that evolutionary endowment that has been held down for so long is breaking free on its own impetus. We may be too weak to make this happen, but the power of created law is not weak. And evolution is just such a law. That is why the end of the Age of Adam is approaching quickly and cannot be stopped. The status quo has had its time, and that time is over.
But lest we get carried away with the obvious hopefulness inherent in this
realization, there is a caveat for us to integrate into consciousness. Though the time of the status quo experiment is drawing to its close, there is most likely trouble ahead. For, it is very doubtful that the status quo proponents alive today are going to simply relinquish their power and go meekly into the night. So there is probably a showdown coming—one in which the meanness of the status quo will finally be exposed in all its venom. It is also possible that this mean reactionary response will manifest as a vindictive spirit of destruction—that they will think in their hearts: “If we can no longer possess the world then we will destroy it.” Will they succeed? No. But they could very well succeed in inflicting one more terrible flurry of suffering and pain upon the global human community. This will come to pass because it is imperative that the lesson of human history during this dark age is learned so thoroughly that it can never be repeated.
The age to come will be the Age of the Christ, and it will be glorious beyond even our hopes and dreams. One reason for this is that it will be free of all the corrupt Adamic behavioral impulses that have dominated this age—impulses such as pride, arrogance, greed, power-lust, etc. Adamic consciousness will not only be stripped of its power and influence; it will become extinct. How? Because the people of the world to come will have learned the lesson of human history well.
Throughout the duration of this present Age of Adam human character has been sorely tempted and tried. Moreover, it has, generally speaking, been found wanting. Not only have we often succumbed to temptation; we have then proceeded to give ourselves over fully to it by building a world social order that reflects these lower human impulses. And in doing this, we have shown a side to our nature that is not pretty.
This tendency to give ourselves over to evil inclinations began long ago, perhaps even at the age’s inception. According to the Bible, it began the day that Adam’s son Cain murdered his younger (and weaker) brother Abel in a field. And surely it has continued right up to this present day with wars, mass murders, violence, hatred, economic oppression, and disregard for the planet that sustains us happening on a daily basis.
Is this who we really are? The answer is: yes and no. It is who we have been in Adam, but it is not who we will be in Christ. How can we know this? Because Jesus came and lived among us as a paradigm of the Christ. And when we as a race of creatures finally evolve out of Adam and into the Christ we will all be like him.
But how can we evolve in consciousness if we have yet to learn the lesson of human history up to this point? How can we love the Christ within us if we have shown contempt for that part of our being in Adam? How can we look to Jesus as our example and Way-Shower if we still worship him as a god in our religious ignorance?
These are questions we must take to heart, and the time to do so is now. Are you truly satisfied with the corrupt social order of this present world—the world that Adamic consciousness has built and so fiercely perpetuated? If so, then I am afraid you are on the wrong side of what is to come. If not, then I invite you to dream with me—dream of a new world, one with a fresh start and a fully evolved consciousness of godliness and goodness. As the Bible says, “Without a vision the people perish.” Let us therefore not be a vision-less people any longer. Let us take to heart the lesson of human history, and proclaim loudly: “Never again! It’s over. Adam is dead and gone. The Christ has come!”
